Moms Get Free Rides, Dinner On Mother’s Day

From Quassy: Don’t take mom on an average walk in the park this Mother’s Day.Instead, bring her to Quassy Amusement Park, Route 64 here, and she will be treated to a day of rides and even a dinner.

Television network Telemundo of Connecticut and Quassy are sponsoring the free program for moms on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13.

Mothers, accompanied by a paid child, will receive a voucher valid for one all-day ride wristband and a dinner when entering the park. Only mom may redeem the wristband and dinner voucher. The accompanying child must purchase an all-day ride wristband for mom to receive the free voucher – valid May 13 only.There is no general admission to Quassy Amusement Park and a $7 parking fee is charged. Other family members in attendance may purchase ride tickets or wristbands. The park is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Quassy Amusement Park is in its 110th season with three giant water raft rides titled Category 5 Rapids set to open in the waterpark in May. The park features more than two-dozen rides and attractions, including the award-winning Wooden Warrior roller coaster. Splash Away Bay waterpark and Quassy Beach both open May 26 for the summer season.
