Oakville Man Has Heart Attack, Dies While Hunting

An Oakville man suffered a fatal heart attack while hunting last week.

WOODBURY, CT — An Oakville man died Thursday after he suffered a heart attack while hunting in the woods off Peter Road, The Waterbury Republican-American reported. William Galpin Sr., 70, was rushed to Waterbury Hospital after he went into cardiac arrest at around 9:30 a.m.

The emergency operation was difficult as Galpin was three-quarters of a mile into the snow-covered woods. Emergency responders had to clear a path through the woods for a vehicle to transport Galpin.
