Plea Entered In Fatal Middlebury Beating Case: Report

The defendant killed the elderly victim in his driveway during an alleged dispute over money.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — Stephen Brockett, 46, arrested in the 2015 beating death of Middlebury resident Isidore Ellin, pleaded guilty in court Thursday, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.

The guilty plea is expected to result in a prison term of 40 years when he is formally sentenced in late July.

Brockett worked for Ellin, and he killed the elderly man in his driveway during an alleged dispute over money.
