Preliminary Decision Reportedly Reached On Region 15 School Budget
The memebers of both the Middlebury and Southbury school boards came to an agreement.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — Despite some friction concerning a Middlebury Republican Town Committee recommendation, both Middlebury and Southbury school board members unanimously approved the 2017-18 school district budget Monday, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
In the end, despite the recommendation to oppose the budget if called for any increase over the previous year, virtually all of Middlebury's Republican board delegation voted for the budget anyway. Middlebury board member Richard Spierto abstained.
The budget of $67.4 million carries an increase of less than 1 percent. Residents of both Middlebury and Southbury will have the chance to vote on the budget on May 3.
