Pursuit of Stolen Car Leads to Shots Fired, Crash; State Trooper, Woodbury Police Officer, and Suspect Injured
State and local Woodbury police officers engaged in pursuit of a stolen vehicle out of Woodbury late Monday morning.

This was something straight out of a big budget action movie, but in reality it was real life and it happened here in Connecticut late Labor Day morning.
Police say a state trooper, Woodbury police officer, and a suspected car thief are all injured after a pursuit beginning from Route 6 in Woodbury ended up in a car crash and shots fired around noon, NBC Connecticut reported.
State police and a Woodbury police officer were pursuing a stolen car out of Woodbury, which continued into Bethlehem before ending in Washington, NBC reported.

The chase ended when the cars all collided with one another, and everyone sustained varying degree of injuries, NBC reported. None of the injuries are expected to be life-threatening.
Both the windows of the suspect’s car and the Woodbury police officer’s cruiser were shot out, police said.
