MIDDLEBURY, CT – Quassy Amusement & Waterpark will open for its 112th season on Saturday, April 25, park officials announced today.
Opening weekend will feature a special $45 Carload Special which benefits the Greater Waterbury Campership Fund. The offer will be valid Sunday, April 26 as well with the park’s annual egg hunt for prizes taking place at 3 p.m.

Campership, administered by the United Way of Greater Waterbury, Conn., helps to send children, who are members of low-income families in local communities, to summer camp.
“We’re always delighted to open the year with the Campership event,” park President Eric Anderson said. “We’ve been supporting Campership as long as any of us at Quassy can remember.”

The lakeside property will operate 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekends only, until Memorial Day weekend in late May. Splash Away Bay waterpark and Quassy Beach both open May 24 for the summer season and operating hours change for park-wide operations that weekend as well.
New for 2020 will be Tidal Wave, a giant swinging ship that will be located in the heart of the lakeside property. Tidal Wave will replace a similar ride that Quassy operated for a number of years.
“This marks the 17th consecutive year we have made marked improvements at the property,” Anderson noted. “We now have a full-fledged waterpark and many new rides in the amusement area at Quassy. It’s been challenging to make all of the updates, but at the same time rewarding for us and certainly our guests.”
A complete slate of special events and entertainment is being prepared by the park and will be released after the holidays.
