Quassy To Honor Heroes On Sept. 23

Live music and the Waterbury Fire Department Smokehouse will be featured during Heroes' Day.

From Quassy:Active and retired first responders and military personnel will be honored during Heroes’ Day, Sunday, Sept. 23, at Quassy Amusement & Waterpark here.

Those presenting a valid agency, department or military identification will receive a free all-day ride wristband plus one additional ride pass for a family member. The day has been established to recognize law enforcement, paramedics, fire personnel and other emergency service agencies as well as those who have served or are serving in the military.

Quassy, located at 2132 Middlebury Road, will operate 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the event. Splash Away Bay waterpark and Quassy Beach are not open in late September.

Family and friends may also purchase pre-sale discount ride wristbands online for only $10 each by using promo code HEROES2 at www.quassy.com. The discount will not be available the day of the event at the park. Parking fee of $7 is not included.
