Region 15 to Host "Healing with Harmony" - A Benefit Concert for the Victims of Japan

All proceeds will go to Japan victim relief

Musicians and singers from around the District will be hosting a benefit concert for the tsunami and earthquake victims of Japan.

The afternoon-long event, coordinated by Memorial Middle School music teacher, Mrs. Margaret Chaves, will occur in the Pomperaug H.S. Auditorium on Saturday, April 2nd, starting at 1:00 p.m.

"This devastation in Japan is beyond my imagination," said Chaves. "The best way I know how to help is through the gift of music."

A slate of musical acts featuring Region 15 students and staff will be announced soon.

While the event is free and open to the public (local and statewide), students will be at the door collecting donations from attendees--100% will go toward victim relief.

"We hope people will be generous with what they are able to contribute toward the Japan relief," said Chaves.
