School District Serving Middlebury Ranked Among the Best for Value for Money in CT
The new study was conducted by Nerd Wallet and factors in the cost of living.

Regional School District 15 serving Middlebury and Southbury was recently ranked among the top 20 school districts that offers the most value for your money in Connecticut by NerdWallet.
The school district ranked 20th among a total of 121 school districts in the state.
The study conducted by NerdWallet factored in standardized test scores combining the 10th grade CAPT scores and SAT scores for 2012 and college readiness by looking at the four-year graduation rate the percentage of graduates seeking higher education in 2012. The study also weighed in on the student-to-teacher ratio and the median home value in 2012.

“Certainly we are pleased when any organization recognizes the high quality of education Region 15 provides,” said Regina Botsford, Superintendent of Schools. “We certainly endeavor to provide the best education for Middlebury and Southbury students and strive to do so in a fiscally responsible manner.”
The school district received an overall “buck weighted” score of 78.15.
