State Trooper and Woodbury Officer Involved in Labor Day Car Chase Identified

The two officers shot at the driver of the stolen car.

State police released the names of the two officers who shot at a suspect during the car chase from Woodbury to Washington the morning of Labor Day, WTNH reports.

Trooper Tyler Spence and Woodbury officer Tim Wright fired at Tyler Santoro, 31, of Southbury after Santoro refused to drop a weapon and tried to ram the officers’ cruisers with a stolen SUV.

Police told WTNH news that Santoro remains at Waterbury Hospital under police guard and will be charged after he is discharged.
