Thieves Swipe Dozens of Wrapped Christmas Gifts from CT Church: Report

The gifts were intended for underprivileged children.

WATERTOWN, CT — Thieves broke into the First Congregational Church on DeForest Street in Watertown Monday and stole three-dozen wrapped Christmas gifts intended for underprivileged children, reports NBC Connecticut News.

According to police, the theft occurred at the Deforest Street church between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. The gifts ranged from toys to clothes, and even diapers, writes WFSB-TV.

The thief or thieves maybe even knew the best day to steal the gifts, because the deadline to drop them off was this past weekend.
