Victims ID'd in Fatal Quassy Amusement Park Crash: Report
The crash occurred Saturday afternoon at the Middlebury-based attraction. Breaking.
MIDDLEBURY, CT — Filomena Ferrara, of Waterbury, was the passenger killed Saturday afternoon in a crash in Middlebury while she was riding in a car driven by fellow Waterbury resident Delores Jacovino, according to Police Chief Francis Dabbo.
The crash occurred at the Quassy Amusement Park when Jacovino's car slammed into a tree, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
Both women were in the late-80s. Jacovino suffered injuries but survived. The crash remains under investigation, according to authorities.
