We are living in unprecedented historical times.

The Portrait of a Grocer, by ShawnaLee Kwashnak, will be a part of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artist's upcoming virtual art show: 2020 Faces of Pandemic Front Lines

Joe Dinova, a third generation grocer, has never seen anything like this before. After the initial shock of lockdown, Joe had to work hard to keep his employees safe while taking care of his town's families. During lockdown, Joe found a way to keep his employees on the payroll and keep them safe. He delivered groceries himself from inside his store right to the trunks of every customer in his parking lot. He put himself at risk to keep others safe and well fed. Joe is one of Middlebury's Heroes.

We all have heroes in our lives, and many of them go unsung. Here’s
your chance to honor your special hero with a Charcoal Portrait by ShawnaLee. Make them a historic part of history while honoring their sacrifice for everyone’s safety.

You get a gorgeous, 14×11″ hand drawn Charcoal Portrait by ShawnaLee from your supplied Hero photo(s).

Choose: A) Simple background $500 + tax (reg. $600)

B) Detailed/symbolic background $800 + tax (reg. $900)

Each Charcoal portrait comes with a complimentary neutral mat in a protective sleeve and a certificate of authenticity hand signed by the artist.

A photograph of the artwork will be emailed to you for approval. When you are thrilled with your portrait, a Safe Pick up at the artist’s studio in Middlebury CT is arranged OR You may opt for shipping for an additional fee.

Portraits take about two weeks from start to finish depending on studio volume.
