Winner of CVDA Gift Certificate Announced!
Terri Satterlee's horse, Mattingly, won the Portraits by ShawnaLee Gift Certificate from the Central Vermont Dressage Association

Portraits by ShawnaLee proudly announces the winner of the Central Vermont Dressage Association's annual fundraiser dinner for a Gift Certificate for a Horse Portrait by ShawnaLee.
Congratulations to Terri Satterlee and her handsome horse, Mattingly! The portrait was donated to CVDA by ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak in support of their efforts to promote great horsemanship.
Mattingly, a bright 11 year old Chestnut warmblood cross (primarily Thoroughbred) was born in Kentucky and is now residing in Vermont. He has been in his new family for just over 2 years and is a solid wonderful soul. He is social with other horses, is sensitive and sane and a joy to be around. Terri says that his ears are quite distinct and when he knows he has done something really well under saddle they get floppy and soft. Mattingly is a dressage horse that enjoys hacking on the trails too!

"LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....I am so happy that the essence of Mattingly is captured in this portrait. It far exceeded my expectations and it will be a treasured piece. I have seen portraits that resemble the animal but don't capture them. I immediately saw "him" in this portrait." Terri Satterlee 1/25/2020

We are pretty well known for our annual development day clinics and schooling shows and host 3 a year. Every year we also try to bring different clinicians to the area." Shannon Hemingway of CVDA.
*The artist mentions this as there is a growing trend of people that create their portraits via electronic means from digital photographs (printed with maybe even dab some real paint on top) and then sell them as original works of art.
ShawnaLee has been practicing the time honored tradition of hands-on and real art materials her entire life and the results truly show. See for yourself!
