Woodbury Firefighters Annual Xmas Tree Bonfire a Blazing Success

Fire Safety and Hot Cocoa Afterwards

The Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department’s annual firesafety bonfire of discarded Christmas trees and evergreens was a blazing success Friday evening Jan 24th. Several hundred town residents watched the 6pm controlled burn in front of the fire department at 25 Quassuk Road and enjoyed hot cocoa, cookies, and a tour of the firehouse afterwards. “It’s a grand display and an education of how quickly fire can spread,” says Chief Janet B. Morgan.
