Woodbury Food Bank in Need of Donations

Woodbury, CT - The Woodbury Food Bank is in need of donations to help serve their neighbors during the coronavirus outbreak. The town Senior Bus will pick up donations at residents’ driveways and deliver them to the Food Bank. To schedule a pickup, call 203-263-2828


Needed items include all varieties of soups, broths, pastas, pasta sauces, canned tomatoes and canned vegetables, dry cereals and oatmeal, juices, paper towels and napkins, toilet paper and tissues, canned fruits, apple sauce cups, pudding cups and granola bars, rice boxed or canned potatoes, canned yams, instant pudding mix and Jell-o, peanut butter and jellies or jams, canned chili, chicken, hash, pasta, beef stew, tuna and salmon, baked beans, beans, brownie and cake mixes, quick bread and muffin mixes, pancake and waffle mixes, ground and instant coffee, tea, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise, cooking oil, dish and laundry detergent, toothpaste, deodorant for men and women, shampoo and conditioner, bar soaps and body wash, organic, low-carb and gluten-free food products, and pet foods.


Donations of bleach, sanitizing wipes and sanitizing liquid to maintain a clean and safe Food Bank environment for staff to prepare assistance packages are also appreciated if you have any extras.

Donations will be received Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon; Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9 to 11 a.m. at the Food Bank, basement level of the Newtown Savings Bank branch.

Those donating should take the driveway on either side of the LaBonne’s plaza building to the rear delivery lot, and drop off goods on the designated Donation Table outside the Food Bank; staff will keep proper social distance and pick up donations once the drop-off is completed.
