Woodbury Helicopter Pilot Dodges Criminal Charges: Report
Roy Rasmussen, an accomplished pilot, enjoys flying.

WOODBURY, CT — Roy Rasmussen, a 52-year-old Woodbury resident, will have criminal charges against him dropped in connection with his flying his helicopter to his daughter's graduation and again at the school after a contested meeting with Region 14 schools superintendent, reports the Waterbury Republican-American.
In 2015, Rasmussen, a flight instructor and military veteran, flew his helicopter to Nonnewaug High School to drop his daughter off at graduation, and then again following an argument over the incident with Superintendent Anna Cutaia-Leonard. He was charged with second-degree criminal trespassing, breach of peace and first-degree reckless endangerment for the first incident, and disorderly conduct for the second.
To have the charges, Rasmussen must successfully complete a accelerated rehabilitation program, and he must also stay at least a 100 feet away from the school and not contact Cutaia-Leonard.
