Woodbury Man Drives Into Fence in Front of Newtown School: Police
The man was allegedly driving under the influence.

A Woodbury man was charged with a DUI after police say he struck a utility pole and drove into a fence in front of Reed Intermediate School.
According to police, David Schivera, 56 was driving eastbound on Wasserman Way at around 8:27 p.m. on April 3 in front of Reed Intermediate School when he crossed the center line and continued off the westbound shoulder of the roadway. He then struck a utility pole and continued to drive into a fence in front of the school.

Police arrested Schivera for driving under the influence (DUI) and restricted turns. He was released on $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Court on April 16.
