Original Story:
Bethlehem and Woodbury voters are asked to cast their ballots Tuesday, May 7, on the proposed $32,055,781 Region 14 Education Budget for the 2013-14 academic year. The Woodbury Senior Community Center on Main Street South will be open for polling form 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Bethlehem residents can vote during the same window at Bethlehem Town Hall.
The proposed budget is a 4.9 percent increase in spending over 2012-13, due in large part to school security upgrades, School Resource Officers (SROs) for each school building and implementation of the new Common Core Standards.
