• CITY OF MILFORD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Planning Commission Hearing: Tuesday, August 18, 2026 @ 6:00 p.m. City Council Hearing: Monday, August 24, 2026 @ 6:00 p.m. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the pr (baytobaynews.com) — Milford residents will soon have a chance to weigh in on the proposed Knight Crossing development, a 60-acre planned unit project off Cedar Beach Road near Route 1. The plan calls for 344 townhome condos, 78 apartments, and nearly 20,000 square feet of commercial space. A Planning Commission hearing is set for August 18, with City Council’s final public hearing on August 24.
   

• Food Bank of Delaware in Milford to use solar in order to fight food insecurity (coasttv.com) — The Food Bank of Delaware’s Milford branch is now powered by solar energy, freeing up more money to buy food for local families. Through a partnership with Energize Delaware and CMI Electric, the system will generate significant electricity savings, helping expand services, especially meals tailored for residents with dietary restrictions as food insecurity continues to rise.
   

• Delaware awards $712K to expand healthy food access statewide (delawareonline.com) — Delaware just awarded $712,500 to 28 groups expanding access to healthy food, and Milford Advocacy for Homeless is among the funded organizations. Grants support food pantries, farms, school gardens, and community grocers across all three counties. While specific Milford projects aren’t detailed, the funding signals more resources for local residents struggling with food access.
