1. Delaware Partners with Google to Expand Digital Skills Training Through Grow with Google (delaware.gov) — A new State of Delaware partnership with Google, announced in Wilmington, will give residents free access to Google Career Certificates and AI courses through local Tech Hubs like libraries and schools. The program aims to boost digital skills, connect people to in-demand jobs, and strengthen workforce pipelines for employers across Wilmington and the rest of the state.
2. Three Alleged Members of Wilmington-Based Gang Charged with Federal Robbery Offense (wgmd.com) — Federal prosecutors say three young men, including two from Wilmington, have been indicted on Hobbs Act robbery charges tied to an alleged Wilmington-based gang called the 6ixers. Investigators allege they beat and robbed a victim at a Dover house party in March, then used the victim's phone to transfer money to themselves. Each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
3. New Upper School principal Erin Prada says opportunities made Ursuline Academy the right choice: 'I chose to stay and grow here' (thedialog.org) — Ursuline Academy's Upper School in Wilmington has promoted longtime teacher and global program leader Erin Prada to principal, keeping a familiar face at the all-girls high school. Prada, who lives in north Wilmington with her family, plans to strengthen coordination across Ursuline's grade levels, expand its international focus, and stay closely connected with students, teachers, and sports programs.
4. Archmere Academy alum Dan Hickey has the experience at every level for role of headmaster: 'It's a great balance' (thedialog.org) — A north Wilmington resident and Archmere alum, Dan Hickey has returned to the Claymont campus as headmaster after two decades leading other area schools. He's spending his first months listening to faculty, reconnecting with the Norbertine tradition, and exploring ways for Archmere to play a bigger role in the Claymont and northern New Castle County community.
