• Wilmington Woman Faces Attempted Murder Charge After Stabbing (mychesco.com) — Wilmington police arrested 21-year-old Nachaela Rutto on Sept. 2 in connection with an East 3rd Street stabbing that left another woman critically injured. Investigators say the incident was domestic in nature, and Rutto now faces first-degree attempted murder and weapons charges, held at Baylor on $100,000 cash-only bail while the victim remains hospitalized.
• These Delaware Restaurants Double as Hotspots for The Arts (delawaretoday.com) — Several Wilmington spots, from La Fête on Concord Pike to Le Cavalier and Bardea Steak downtown, are spotlighted for blending dining with local art, design, and performance. You'll also find handcrafted plates at The Post in Forty Acres and occasional OperaDelaware performances at Snuff Mill, plus ideas for artsy restaurant experiences across Delaware.
• Delaware Division of the Arts Announces New Appointments to the Delaware State Arts Council (delaware.gov) — Several Wilmington arts leaders, including gallery owner Nataki Oliver and arts advocate Dr. Malcolm Richardson, have been appointed to the Delaware State Arts Council, which guides state arts policy and funding. Their roles with local organizations and initiatives in Wilmington aim to expand access to arts education, public art, and cultural programming across the city and the state.
