3. Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington Under Investigation (tvdelmarva.com) — A 69-year-old Wilmington man using an electric wheelchair died after being struck by a Jeep on Philadelphia Pike Friday afternoon, prompting a Delaware State Police investigation and three-hour road closure. Troopers are still deciding on charges for the out-of-state driver and are asking Wilmington-area witnesses or anyone with video to contact investigators or Delaware Crime Stoppers.
4. Wilmington Man Charged in Shooting That Injured Three (mychesco.com) — Wilmington residents are learning more about a September shooting near D and Townsend streets that left three people hospitalized, after police arrested a 19-year-old now facing multiple felony charges and high cash-only bail. Investigators say specialized units helped take the suspect into custody, while details about motives and relationships remain limited as the case moves through the courts.
5. 'I'm not the exception': Loren LoRosa on what attending an HBCU taught her (thegrio.com) — A Wilmington native, Loren LoRosa credits growing up in the city and later attending Delaware State University with shaping her confidence, creativity, and media career.
