Christina School District kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with great enthusiasm, welcoming more than 13,200 students and over 3,200 staff members back to classrooms across the district. The school year began on the district’s usual staggered schedule, with students in grades 1-5, 6 and 9, and special programs returning on Tuesday, September 2. The remainder of the K-12 students joined on Wednesday, September 3, followed by preschool and prekindergarten students on Monday, September 8.

Superintendent Dr. Deirdra Joyner expressed her excitement about the new school year, emphasizing the community spirit that drives the district forward. “At Christina School District, we believe we are stronger together,” she said. “By working hand in hand—students, families, teachers, and staff—we create an environment where every learner can thrive and succeed.” This shared commitment sets a positive tone for a year full of growth, learning, and achievement.

The District looks forward to an inspiring and successful 2025-2026 school year built on collaboration and dedication to student success.
