Employee Spotlight: Drivers Place 2nd in School Bus Rodeo!
Drivers Place 2nd in School Bus Rodeo!
This past week, the Delaware Department of Education hosted its annual School Bus Rodeo, where state-employed and contract bus drivers showed their expertise behind the wheel.
Christina School District was represented by Curtis Brown, Immani Wells, and Elizabeth Taylor in the District Division, and Leonard Moody, a driver from Christina contractor Dream Team Transportation, in the Contractor Division.
They participated in various challenges, including an obstacle course, parallel parking, and rescuing 4 simulated students in a smoke-filled bus within a 3-minute time limit. Curtis had the quickest time on the smoke bus and rescued all the simulated students in under a minute! Curtis clinched 2nd place in the District Division, and Leonard placed 2nd in the Contractor Division.
