Mayor Mike Purzycki is pleased to share with residents today a list of FREE walk-up testing sites across Wilmington in the coming week. The Mayor asked residents to continue to take precautions to avoid spreading the COVID-19 virus, including avoiding large crowds, wearing a mask, and washing and sanitizing their hands frequently. The Mayor again thanked the New Castle County government and the City and State Emergency Management offices for arranging these events, which will use the saliva test technique.
The Wilmington test sites are:
- Tuesday, September 8: Eastside Charter School, 3000 North Claymont Street, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Walk-Up Only) Register in advance at delaware.curativeinc.com
- Wednesday, September 9: Helen Chambers Park, West 6th and North Madison streets, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Walk-Up Only); in case of rain, tests will be given inside the William “Hicks” Anderson Community Center
- Wednesday, September 9: Frawley Stadium (North Parking Lot), Frawley Road and Shipyard Drive, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Drive-Thru/Walk-Up) Register in advance
- Friday, September 11: Ezion-Mount Carmel UMC, 800 North Walnut Street, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Walk-Up Only) Register in advance at delaware.curativeinc.com
- Saturday, September 12: Helen Chambers Park, West 6th and North Madison streets, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Walk-Up Only); in case of rain, tests will be given inside the William “Hicks” Anderson Community Center
