• Jury reaches verdict in Wilmington Manor fire chief case (delawareonline.com) — Residents should know that Wilmington Manor’s former volunteer fire chief has been convicted of a misdemeanor offensive touching charge involving a female fire company employee and received six months’ probation with no contact allowed with her or the fire company. The Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company suspended his membership and removed him as chief, while county fire service leaders publicly backed the victim and emphasized accountability in public safety roles.
