2017 CroppMetcalfe’s Spring Georgetown 5K, 10-Miler Bug Run!

It's time for the 3rd Annual CroppMetcalfe Bug Run! This year the bugs are bigger than ever as the event is now both a 5k and 10-miler.

It’s that time of year again. April showers will not only bring out beautiful May flowers, but the dreaded bugs and pests that come with the season change. CroppMetcalfe is partnering with Relay for Life and kicking the bugs to the curb at the 3rd Annual 2017 CroppMetcalfe Bug Run!

Come out to Georgetown, D.C. on Sunday, May 28th and participate in a fun 5K or 10 mile run along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail.

We welcome all runners and walkers to dress as their favorite bug or pest! All costumed participants will be entered to win one of the 20 sets of two free tickets to an upcoming Washington Nationals game!

The 10-miler event will begin at 8AM and the 5K at 8:30AM. Tickets are $25 for the 5K and $45 for the 10-miler. Be sure to register before May 15. After May 15, registration will increase to $30 and $50. All participants will receive a Finisher’s Medal, Technical (Drifit) Event Shirt, and Chip Timer.

Don’t have time to run in this race? Try the virtual race option and earn your customer medal (with your name, event date, and race). Run anywhere on your own time!

Please Note: Packet pickup will be at the event one hour before the race starts. We recommend all participants arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the event. There will be no race day registration to comply with park service regulations. There will be no refunds after April 1, 2017. The event is run by Bishop Events and a portion of the proceeds go towards the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
