By far the worst experience with a tutoring company!
We just won a lawsuit against Top Test Prep for $15,000 (3 times the tuition money amount.)
Read on here and decide if you want to save your child and yourself from the agony of dealing with a test prep company that is unable to deliver their promises.

We contacted Top Test Prep in July of 2013 for my rising senior who wanted to give his last and best try for October SAT before applying early decision to colleges with the deadline of November 15.
After a few conversations with Ms. Sarah Rath, we were convinced that although extremely expensive, Top Test Prep would provide experienced in-home tutors for my son.

In good faith, we made full advance payment on July 17 hoping to soon start SAT tutoring for my son. At that time, I wasn't asked to sign any agreement. But 2 days later, the program director Ms. Veishnavi Rattehali set up an account for my son and made him fill out an online new client survey which unknowingly bound us to the Top Test Prep program. We were not contacted for any of this.

The worst part was that Top Test Prep offered a tutor option that had no tutoring experience. We were disappointed that we had already wasted 2 weeks in back and forth communications. Then Ms. Rattehali came up with a second tutor option based in Washington DC and could tutor only via Skype. We had agreed to pay $200/ hour for live in-home tutoring NOT a Skype-tutor. Our third tutor option had only a year of experience and didn't even contact us for another one and half week.

We were in month of August already, less than 2 months away from my son's final SAT. We were losing faith in Top Test Prep's promises, so we requested for a refund of the advance payment made and not using any of their services. They completely refused to do so. At that time, we started doubting the authenticity of this tutoring company and out of the feeling of being cheated, we filed a lawsuit against them.

The judge agreed with our position on the issue and we WON the lawsuit.

There are many great test prep companies out there - Top Test Prep is definitely NOT one of them.
