Air Defense Exercise Being Conducted Early Tuesday Morning: NORAD
An air defense exercise will be conducted of the D.C. area early Tuesday morning, according to NORAD.

GEORGETOWN, DC — The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will be conducting an air defense exercise over the Washington, D.C. area early Tuesday morning.
NORAD says the drill will take place between 12:30 and 2:30 a.m.
On August 13th, NORAD will conduct air defense exercise Falcon Virgo between 12:30-2:30 a.m. in the National Capital Region. F-16 fighters, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter, and two @CivilAirPatrol Cessna 182T aircraft will participate. pic.twitter.com/er12a8vk00

"NORAD routinely conducts exercises with a variety of scenarios, including airspace restriction violations and responses to unknown aircraft," the organization said. "Some portions of the exercise may be visible from the ground. NORAD exercises are carefully planned and closely controlled."
