Kilpatrick Townsend’s Paul Aguggia Awarded the District Alliance for Safe Housing’s Pillar Award

Washington, D.C. (April 5) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Partner Paul Aguggia was honored with the District Alliance for Safe Housing’s (DASH) Pillar Award. Mr. Aguggia was honored at an awards luncheon on March 28 at the Hyatt Regency.  

The Pillar Award honors community partners who have helped DASH turn its vision into a reality. Mr. Aguggia, on a pro bono basis, has served as the general counsel for DASH for the last two years and has supported the organization on a variety of legal needs, from reviewing complex real estate finance terms to fielding difficult personnel issues to providing board training and support.

According to DASH executive director Peg Hacskaylo, the award recognizes Mr. Aguggia for his “capacity and enthusiasm in helping DASH through his extensive knowledge and resourcefulness, which has given DASH the internal support needed to better help women and children become safe from abuse.” Ms. Hacskaylo went on to say that “DASH is an altogether stronger organization from Mr. Aguggia’s singular contribution.”

DASH was founded in 2006 to provide relief to survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence, through emergency and long-term safe housing, and innovative homelessness prevention services. DASH is an innovator in providing access to safe housing and services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families as they rebuild their lives on their own terms.
