The Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC-2E) will discuss a variety of neighborhood issues tonight at 6:30 p.m. at school.
The agenda for the May meeting offers few new items, though several items back for further review will certainly keep the evening interesting.
Neighbors interested in an update on the project might want to drop in for the Transportation and Public Works reports.

The two items of "new business" are familiar issues. First the ANC will address a construction management agreement with Georgetown University over plans to gut and renovate Nevils Hall, which was discovered to have asbestos. The University first brought the project to the ANC's attention . At that meeting the ANC and neighbors raised concerns about noise, hours of operation and construction traffic.
Other new business includes the District Department of Transportation's (DDOT) proposed in the neighborhood. DDOT suggested one at Rose Park and the other at Wisconsin Avenue and Reservoir Road, though the potential addition depends on how many votes the locations receive. It is possible that Georgetown, which currently has four Bikeshare stations, could receive only one or none of the proposed stations.

On the development and design review front, two Eastbanc, Inc. projects are back yet again for further review by the ANC. The projects at 1045 Wisconsin Ave. and 3601 M St. received additional design critiques at the meeting. The ANC will receive updates on the projects and likely seek input from neighbors on the way in which changes address their concerns.
The private projects are fairly standard, though there may be some interesting comments on the awning and sign scheme for First Cash Jewelry and Loan coming to 1726 Wisconsin Ave. at the current location of .
