ANC2E Preview: Back for More
The ANC2E meeting scheduled for April 4 offers standard fare for local civically-minded folks.

The Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC2E) meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. will address a handful of permit-related concerns and will highlight several neighborhood events and organizations.
Overall, the meeting at Georgetown Visitation school should be a calm one compared to recent meetings that featured new large-scale development projects such as the Georgetown Campus Plan. Though, a GU request for construction vehicles to use neighborhood roads might turn a few heads.
The University is proposing early and late hours for summer construction at its Nevils building and would have construction traffic on residential streets.

Several of development projects are back for review and the public will have opportunity to comment on updated designs.
A large-scale residential project, 1045 Wisconsin Ave, that received quite a few comments last time it came before the ANC is back again for review. At the most recent Old Georgetown Board (OGB) meeting, the board members of the statement the developers and architect were making. The board members suggested changes that the ANC will review.

A late addition to the ANC agenda 3601-3607 M Street is also back with a revised design. The initial design for this massive residential project on the current Exxon site across from the Key Bridge drew strong community opposition and feedback. The OGB declined to comment on the design until the board members made a site visit. Nonetheless, the architects will be back with revisions for comment and further suggestion.
Other items include permits for small residential projects. Check back Tuesday for a write-up of the meeting.
The ANC will open the floor to organizers of the French Market, Georgetown Village representative and an official from Washington Gas.
- The French Market will take place April 29-30 and is organized by the Business Improvement District.
- The Georgetown Village group will likely provide an update on the plans and fundraising efforts for an ageing-in-place community here in Georgetown.
- Washington Gas will address an agreement to use inside meters in Georgetown.
