Artist's Proof Artists Demonstrations for Cady's Alley Design & Art Walk

See live painting demonstrations and an interactive assemblage session by local artists represented by Artist's Proof Gallery.

Artist’s Proof is proud to announce its participation in Cady’s Alley Design and Art Walk on Thursday, June 25th from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

As part of the walk, Artist’s Proof is excited to give visitors an interactive experience that shows art in process by talented local artists represented by the gallery. Works by these artists will be featured in several venues and three artists will be in-house to demonstrate how they create their works and even have guests participate in the process.

Artist Tom Wells will host an interactive assemblage session with visitors in Waterworks. In claiming the process of his work begins with the harvesting of objects which are “imbued with subtle qualities,” Wells will work with visitors to create a new piece of art from Waterworks’ excess tiles and other ‘found’ objects.

Poggenpohl will host Wendy Plotkin-Mates in a live painting demonstration to show visitors how she approaches the canvas to capture a sensation of color and cultures from around the world to produce art that, like life itself, is complex and layered.

Rodger Schultz will perform a live painting demonstration in Baker Furniture to highlight his Pointillistic style in landscapes and portraits alike. Visitors will have the opportunity to see Schultz produce a new work that is signature to his intricate, verdant landscapes and portraits that explode in a kaleidoscope of flora and color.
