Beer Week Comes to Georgetown

The week-long celebration of brews includes several hosted by Georgetown businesses.

DC Beer Week is back for its fourth annual celebration. From Aug. 13 through Aug. 17 brew enthusiasts can try limited edition creations, a great selection of hard-to-find beers, and even meet the creators of some of the biggest names in the craft brewing universe.

Georgetown and Glover Park businesses have joined the fray, offering a variety of events throughout the week.

Hopfenstark Beer Dinner Monday at 6:30 p.m. (3282 M St. NW) $65. Email events@eatyourpizza.com for a reservation. Founders Rare Beer Tap Takeover Monday at 5 p.m. (3282 M St. NW) Beers priced individually. No reservations required. Samuel Adams Small-Batch Specialty Draft Aug. 13—Aug. 19 (3056 M St. NW) Four specialty Samuel Adams draft options are featured throughout the week. Beers priced individually. Samuel Adams Octoberfest Steal The Pint Aug. 12—Aug. 19  Bourbon – Glover Park (2348 Wisconsin Ave. NW) "All week long at Bourbon in Glover Park, order a Samuel Adams Octoberfest and take the stein home," according to WCP. Rogue HH and Tap Takeover, Aug. 15 at 5 p.m.  (3282 M St. NW) Beers priced individually, ½ priced drafts available 5 to 7 p.m. No reservations required. Great Lakes Meet and Greet Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.  Bourbon – Glover Park 2348 Wisconsin Ave. NW "Great Lakes beers, including Eliot Ness, The Wright Pils, Oktoberfest, and Rye of the Tiger, are on tap," according to WCP.

Hopfenstark Beer Dinner Thursday, Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. (3282 M St. NW) $35 for 10 three-ounce pours and your choice of one twelve-ounce pour, paired with its own special pizza.
