UPDATED: Big East Basketball Tournament 2013: Hoyas to Face an Old Foe

The Georgetown Hoyas, No. 1 seed in the Big East men's basketball tournament, dumped the Cincinnati Bearcats 62-43 Thursday and will move on to play old rival Syracuse in their final conference match-up.

The game for the Hoyas was not as easy as the final would suggest. After initially going up big, Cincinnati closed to within 29-24 at the half and went on another run to begin the second.

The Hoyas pulled away, though, going on a furious 22-10 run to end the game, earn the victory and set up the rematch against Syracuse on Friday. The Hoyas blew out Syracuse on Saturday.

Syracuse got as much as it could handle in the second afternoon game, barely defeating Pittsburgh, 62-59, in a game that came down to the final possession.

With those victories, Georgetown and Syracuse will go at it within the conference one more time before the Orangemen bail to the Atlantic Coast Conference. The game Friday at Madison Square Garden is at 7 p.m. 

Louisville, the tournament's other top seed, dominated Villanova, 74-55, in the first late game.

The Hoyas are picked as the runner-up in most forums. Louisville is favored, though that feeling's far from unanimous -- especially in Georgetown. Louisville receives the biggest Vegas odds at +140. Georgetown is second at +200, while Syracuse is a distant third at +350, according to SB Nation.
