A Georgetown Gem

A Georgetown Gem that every lady should know about.

Ladies, I have a secret. And I am going to spill the beans.

Over the years I have been looking for someone with talent, personality, imagination, and style. And no, I am not on the market for a date! I am looking for that special person to guide me in the direction of perfection but not charge an arm and a leg.

It has taken a few years and a number of locations but I have finally found "the one." Hair stylist Perry at Bogart Salon. It was love at first sight.

A few years ago I sat down in his chair for my first consultation. I am a quick blow dry and out the door kind of girl. No product, no hair straightener, and no styling. I want a cut that will look great even after I have neglected my locks and may not make my next another appointment for 3 months.

Perry didn’t judge or shoot me a sour face as so many other stylists have given in the past. Yes, I know I have split ends! Instead, he said the words every girl wants to hear, “Don’t worry. I will give you a fierce cut.”

After a wash and shampoo that ended with an upper back massage that left me wanting more, I retreated to Perry’s chair for a cut and style and some juicy conversation. When the blow dry was complete and all angles were inspected for greatness I knew I had found a Georgetown gem. And the best part, I didn’t shudder when the bill was presented to my credit card.

Once you make your way down the stairs and into the hustle and bustle of M Street, cue the model walk. Every great haircut needs to be shown off!

Bogart Salon is located at 1063 Wisconsin Avenue, just south of M Street, tucked away on a second floor.
