This was reinforced recently during a meeting about the neighborhood’s real estate market held by the Citizens Association of Georgetown (CAG) at the newly re-opened Tony and Joe’s Seafood Place at Georgetown’s Washington Harbour.

Tom Anderson of Washington Fine Properties said that when buyers initially come to the DC market, they first look to Georgetown as the place they would like to live.
TTR Sotheby’s International Realty’s John Mashie outlined the community’s commitment to historic preservation, revealing the history of our country through architecture.
Margaret Heimbold from Long and Foster Companies spoke of the importance of preparing a “house history,” developing a personal relationship with the pedigree of one’s home. A future piece in the Georgetown Real Estate Report will focus on how to prepare such a report. It is a fascinating subject.
