Brand New Hotel Opening on Wisconsin Avenue

Kimpton Glover Park Hotel is now taking reservations.

A brand new hotel is opening this week up in Glover Park near Georgetown.

A ribbon cutting and ceremonial planting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. for the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue NW, according to a statement from the hotel. It is located just to the west of the U.S. Naval Observatory. Guests will also be able to start making reservations that day.

"Nestled in one of the most charming D.C. neighborhoods, with a beautiful design by renowned artist Michele Oka Doner, you'll want to see everything this hotel has to offer," the statement says.

The hotel will offer an on-site fitness center, in-room space services, a hosted evening wine hour, a restaurant and valet parking, among other amenities.

"Kimpton Glover Park Hotel has it all figured out—close proximity to the best of what downtown DC has to offer yet a refreshingly quiet location in a walkable, residential zone of Glover Park," its website states. "Perched on a hill in Upper Northwest, the contemporary-meets-down-to-earth venue pays homage to nearby Rock Creek Park with décor details like hues of green, stenciled plants and historical images and maps. Urban intrigue complements quiet comfort in this Kimpton gem that is kid-friendly and health-conscious, too."
