Capital One Brings Ross Mathews to the Streets of Washington, D.C. to Deliver Laughs, Celebrate Comedy and Pay Tribute to Jay Leno
Mathews to surprise DC with appearances and man on-the-street interviews to celebrate Jay Leno and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

This weekend, The Kennedy Center is awarding the 17th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to Jay Leno. To pay tribute to Leno and celebrate comedy as an art form, Washington D.C.’s hometown bank, Capital One, is enlisting the help of Leno’s former beloved intern, Ross Mathews, to deliver laughs in unexpected places throughout the District.
On Saturday, October 18, Mathews will make surprise appearances around the city and engage with local residents through entertaining man-on-the-street interviews. To find out how to see him and join in the tribute to Jay Leno, follow Twitter.com/CapitalOne
The activities are all part of Capital One’s $5 million, 5-year commitment to support Comedy at the Kennedy Center, a signature program that elevates comedy as an art form and unites the local community together through laughter. To celebrate this partnership and honor Mark Twain Prize for Humor honoree Jay Leno, Capital One has enlisted Mathews to bring comedy to the streets of DC.
