A car crashed into a barricade on the south end of the U.S. Capitol grounds on Friday morning.
D.C. Metro Police says motorists should expect delays in the area of New Jersey and Independence avenues while the crash scene is investigated.
The car has been described as a Nissan Altima. The driver is in custody, according to WTOP.

“Dude just drove full-speed into barricade at Longworth & Capitol full speed,” one person wrote on Twitter.
The car was cleared of hazards, according to NBC Washington.
