Cuteness Alert: Watch Giant Panda Cub Bei Bei Sneeze

Mama Mei Xiang and baby cub Bei Bei were caught napping — and sneezing — in this Smithsonian video. Watch it below!

Babies do the cutest things, right? Newly named Giant Panda cub Bei Bei is no different. The little guy was recently caught sneezing by National Zoo cameras while napping with mama Mei Xieng (watch the video below).

Depending on the time and the weather, the giant pandas have a choice to be outside or inside the panda house. The pandas typically have outdoor access between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to the zoo.

The panda house, an indoor viewing area, is open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The zoo recommends arriving early to avoid large crowds and long lines. Long lines require earlier cut-off times to ensure those waiting can enter the panda house before it closes. If you can’t find all of the pandas, they may be spending time in an enclosure behind-the-scenes.

Visitors can attend a giant panda keeper talk as part of the Zoo’s daily animal demonstrations. Check the calendar for a schedule of events.

Flash photography and video with handheld devices are permitted inside the panda house. For the safety of Zoo visitors, the use of tripods is prohibited. (See “Park Rules” for more information.)
