Dates Announced for National Cherry Blossom Festival 2016

Baby it's cold outside, but think thoughts of cherry blossoms...here are the dates for this year's festival.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The weather outside is hovering below zero Tuesday and lots of snow is forecast for the weekend, but maybe thoughts of blue skies and pink cherry blossoms will help get you through the winter?

The National Cherry Blossom Festival announced Tuesday that the annual springtime celebration will take place this year March 20 – April 17.

The festival includes three weeks and four weekends of events featuring diverse and creative programming promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit.
