DC Chef to Battle on Food Network's 'Beat Bobby Flay'

Tune in Thursday night to watch Ceiba executive chef Matthew Britt in an episode titled 'Bring Home the Bacon.'

DC chef Matthew Britt, executive chef at Ceiba, a Latin American-inspired restaurant, will battle a chef from Connecticut on the Food Network Thursday night on a show called “Beat Bobby Flay.”

Tune in on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 10 p.m. to see him compete in the episode the Food Network is calling “Bring Home the Bacon.”

Britt of Passion Food Hospitality’s Ceiba will battle Connecticut chef Tyler Anderson for the chance to go head-to-head with Bobby Flay. Food Network’s Sunny Anderson and “Cutthroat Kitchen” judge Jet Tila fan the flames of competition and seal the fate of the challengers: Who will go up against Bobby and who will go home?

Britt is a 2004 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and discovered his passion for Latin American cooking when he arrived in DC to work with chef/partner Jeff Tunks of Passion Food Hospitality at Ceiba.
