D.C. Lottery to Reschedule iGaming Community Outreach Meetings

New meeting dates will be scheduled to take place between mid-September and October, in response to concerns about meetings during the summer

News Release: The D.C. Lottery announced today that it will reschedule community outreach meetings previously set for mid-August and September to discuss the potential implementation of iGaming in the District of Columbia.

The meetings scheduled in the 8 Wards of the District along with the ANC Chairs were part of a larger commitment to give the public a platform to voice their concerns and opinions about internet gaming in the District of Columbia following a June 29, 2011 public hearing.

“We have heard concerns raised by some community residents about holding the meetings during the summer months; therefore, we intend to reschedule the community meetings. Our goal is to reach the largest number of District residents possible and to provide a forum to receive community input concerning the implementation of an iGaming program in the District of Columbia,” said Buddy Roogow, Executive Director of D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Board.
