D.C. Police Ask Public's Help to Solve M Street Armed Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department has posted surveillance footage on YouTube of the Jan. 13 robbery.


The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying two people who were involved in an armed robbery on M Street in Northwest, and has posted a video of the suspects.

Police say two suspects followed two people into a building in the 900 block of M Street shortly before 11 p.m. on Jan. 13. After leaving the elevator, one of them pulled out a gun and demanded the two people they were following to hand over their property. The two suspects then fled on foot.

They were captured on the surveillance cameras in the building, and the police are sharing those videos on YouTube in the hopes that someone will recognize them and turn them in. The MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone provide information on a violent offense that leads to an arrest and conviction.
