DC Police Car Hits Pedestrian on Connecticut Avenue: Report

Man is in critical condition, according to several media reports.

A pedestrian was hit by a DC police car Monday afternoon on Connecticut Avenue, according to witnesses on the scene posting to social media, including a report on Twitter by witness and Vox editor Margarita Noriega.

The area was the intersection of Connecticut and L Street NW, north of Farragut Square.

The Washington Post reported that a man was struck.

Noriega’s posts say that a driver in a DC police SUV hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk and said that the person hit is receiving medical attention. Several media reports noted the man was in critical condition.
