DC Rent Among Highest in the U.S.
Zillow report ranks DC among most expensive rental markets in the country.
Rent in DC is among the highest of any city in the United States, according to data from Zillow.com and reported by the Washington Business Journal.
"The average rent in Washington last quarter was $2,054, up 3.3 percent from a year earlier, though average rents did slip 1 percent from the previous quarter," the Washington Business Journal reports.
A quick search for apartment/condo rentals in the 20007 Zip Code on Zillow shows rents can range both higher and lower than that city-wide average.

The highest listed rent, among 81 returned options Wednesday night, was $8,500 per month for a two-bedroom condo at 3303 Water St. NW. The lowest was $1,450 for a one-bedroom apartment at 4021 Benton St. NW.
According to the Washington Business Journal, San Jose, Calif., had the highest average apartment rents at $2,646.
