DC TV Producer Says 'Goodbye' to 'The Bachelor'

'Prince Farming' lets DC TV producer Jillian Anderson know they're not on the same wavelength.

DC TV producer Jillian Anderson easily won a contest on ”The Bachelor” Monday night, racing and climbing her way through Muckfest, an Army-like battleground, mud and all, wearing a wedding gown no less. (It’s all for a good cause, raising money for MS.)

That feat earned her a one-on-one date with “Prince Farming” Chris Soules, the Iowa farmer who is starring on ABC-TV’s “The Bachelor.”

But farmer Soules wasn’t feeling it, not even over a romantic dinner overlooking the lights of San Francisco. He picked the rose up from the dinner table, didn’t give it to Anderson, gave a half-hearted speech saying he “wasn’t feeling it in his gut” and said goodbye.

Anderson said she should have been more vulnerable.

Here’s what Soules had to say about the experience, on his blog:

“We were in one of the most romantic settings I’d ever been, overlooking the beautiful San Francisco skyline, and honestly I just wasn’t feeling it. I’m not sure if it’s because I couldn’t get a word in edgewise, or if it was because the chemistry was just not there, but I knew in my gut that Jillian wasn’t the one for me. I couldn’t in good conscience give her that rose. Saying goodbye to her was not easy, but I’d have been lying to both of us if I had kept her around. I know Jillian felt like she wishes she’d opened up more, but it wasn’t even that. The two of us were just not meant to be, and I’m sure she’ll find someone perfect for her. And that person could probably bench press me!”

Monday night, Anderson didn’t have too much to say about it, tweeting ”And we’re off #TheBachelor.”

Tuesday on Instagram, she said: “I didn’t leave with a rose last night but I did find love. I found love in friendship with 29 beautiful ladies one farmer and several producers. This journey was the best experience of my life and I thank you all for the support. So happy to be part of the bachelor family and there’s going to be so much more fun to come! XO
