D.C. Woman Charged with Attempted Murder in Baltimore County
The woman, reportedly a teacher's aide at Anacostia High School, allegedly threw gasoline on boyfriend, set home ablaze.

A woman from the District is charged with attempted murder after allegedly pouring gasoline on her boyfriend and setting fire to his Baltimore County home, according to police.
Lisa Lashell Finley, 29, of the 700 block of Delafield Street Northeast, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center after she turned herself in Monday afternoon, police reported.
Finley is an educational aide at Anacostia High School in Washington, D.C., and school officials told ABC 7 she will be placed on leave in the fall due to the incident.

Authorities say Finley came to her boyfriend’s home in the 10800 block of Sherwood Hill Road Sunday, threw gasoline on him, held a lighter and stated she was going to kill him.
The boyfriend left and when he returned, there was a fire at the house, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Officials were called to the home just before 5 p.m. for a domestic incident and were told the house was on fire as they were on the way, police reported.
Sprinklers inside the residence put out the fire, according to the report.
The blaze, which investigators determined was intentionally set, caused $75,000 in damage, WBAL reported.
Finley is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and first-degree arson, according to court records.
She has a preliminary hearing in Baltimore County District Court on Aug. 14.
